Preliminary data from Metals & Mining Intelligence shows that in November, the amount of coal exported by rail from Russia to China was 7.458 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 6.90%, marking a decline for the second consecutive month, but an increase of 8.01% year-on-year.
Specifically, the transportation volume of thermal coal was 4.638 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 5.96%, and a year-on-year increase of 20.69%; the transportation volume of coking coal was 2.679 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 6.07%, and a year-on-year decrease of 8.35%; the transportation volume of anthracite was 141,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 37.89%, and a year-on-year increase of 1.44%.
In the first 11 months of this year, the total amount of coal exported by rail from Russia to China reached 84.342 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.42%.
