During a business delegation's visit to China, Marina Petrova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Industry of Irkutsk Oblast, stated that China accounts for about 80% of Irkutsk Oblast's foreign trade volume.
Petrova said: "China is the main trading partner of Irkutsk Oblast, accounting for about 80% of the total foreign trade volume of the region."
Reports indicate that the visit of Russian businessmen to China is conducted under the national project 'Small and Medium Enterprises' initiated by the President of the Russian Federation.
In June 2024, Irkutsk Oblast Day activities will be held in China, during which 11 cooperation documents will be signed, including 3 investment intention documents totaling 50 billion rubles (approximately 3.47 billion yuan) and 5 foreign trade documents totaling nearly 2 billion rubles (approximately 138 million yuan).
