Moscow Mayor Sobyanin announced that in the first nine months of 2024, the bilateral trade volume between Moscow and China increased by 7.7% year-on-year.
The message stated: "Bilateral trade between Moscow and China continues to grow. In the first nine months of 2024, the trade volume increased by 7.7% year-on-year. Moscow accounts for more than 40% of the total trade volume between Russia and China."
Sobyanin pointed out that China's share in the total export volume of non-raw materials and non-energy products from Moscow exceeds 7%. The goods exported from Moscow to China include mechanical engineering, instrument manufacturing, medical equipment, food, and other products.
The message further stated: "Joint industrial projects are receiving special attention. For example, Moscow enterprises have signed contracts with Chinese bus and vending machine manufacturers to provide solutions, and a pharmaceutical company has established a subsidiary in China aimed at expanding cooperation."
Sobyanin emphasized that the state also assists in developing Moscow's exports. Under the framework of the national project 'International Cooperation and Export', entrepreneurs can receive consulting, analytical services, and support for promoting products overseas.
