According to the Far East Railway Telegram channel, from January to November 2024, the cargo shipment volume of the Far East Railway (FER) reached nearly 70 million tons, an increase of 2.6% compared to the same period last year.
In the first eleven months, the Far East Railway loaded 33.2 million tons of coal, an increase of 4.8% compared to the same period in 2023. Additionally, shipments of oil and petroleum products were 7.8 million tons, a decrease of 2.3% year-on-year; iron ore and manganese ore were 2.7 million tons, an increase of 4.2% year-on-year.
In November, the cargo loading volume of the Far East Railway was 6.4 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%.
From January to November 2024, the freight turnover of the Far East Railway was 217.6 billion ton-kilometers, maintaining the same level as in the same period of 2023; considering empty car mileage, the freight turnover was 271.4 billion ton-kilometers, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%.
In November, the freight turnover of the Far East Railway was 20.3 billion ton-kilometers, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%; considering empty car mileage, the freight turnover was 24.8 billion ton-kilometers, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.
