The Far Eastern Shipping Company (FESCO) will launch a new service of cargo delivery from China to Novorossiysk in November this year, the group's Vice President for Linear Logistics, Germán Maslov, said at the International Customs Forum.
According to Maslov, “Novorossiysk and St. Petersburg are alternatives to the eastern railroads, which have been quite heavily loaded over the past few years and are still very busy. Another solution is the China-Novorossiysk direction, and we will launch this service in November this year.”
Maslov added that the service will start operating within two weeks. He said that at the moment the sea terminals in Novorossiysk and St. Petersburg are not busy, while cargoes there are cleared quickly.
Earlier at the Eastern Economic Forum, Maslov noted that the Russian Far Eastern Sea Shipping Group of Companies is working to redistribute loads from the eastern railroads.
